Simon Hayes - Personal Trainer

I began my fitness career at 15 years of age in competitive kickboxing where I went on to compete at a national level before branching off in Mixed Martial Arts competition including other styles such as Muay Thai, Boxing, Jiu Jitsu and Amateur Wrestling. I gained my black belt in western kickboxing and points kickboxing after 2 years of training and through coaching other students, I realised the enjoyment I found in coaching.

I spent two and a half years at David Lloyd Raynes Park before making the move to freelance personal training. Not content with my knowledge I begun a degree in Strength and Conditioning Science at St Mary’s University in Twickenham. In the first year of Uni, I was tasked with learning the Olympic Weightlifting movements. Since a neck injury ended my fighting career, I have now begun competing in Weightlifting and have reached a national level with the intention of getting on the Team GB Squad.

From my time in the fitness industry, I have learnt to specialize in nutrition, weight management, muscle tone, strength training and boxing/kickboxing based fitness sessions. I employ scientifically proven methods into my personal training and take immense pride in seeing my clients make improvements.

My qualifications include…

  • Black Belt in Western Kickboxing and Points Kickboxing
  • Level 3 Personal Training (Lifetime)
  • British Weightlifting Level 1 Coach
  • National Diploma in Sport & Exercise
  • UKSCA Olympic Lifting Workshop Attendance
